Just Show Up

I love this letter from Chuck Close to his 14-year old self. When he says, "Inspiration is for amateurs. The rest of us just show up and get to work"... Isn't that so, so good? To produce anything... artwork, kindness, forgiveness, an egg sandwhich... its all about first
taking action. 

 "You don't have to invent the wheel everyday. Today, you'll do what you did yesterday. Tomorrow, you'll do what you did today. Eventually you'll get somewhere."
