Happy Weekend! xo

I'm heading on the rails to DC this afternoon to meet up with Marita and Robert and I could not be more excited. Even though, I've seen more of them this Spring than any other, I can't help but look forward to more time together. So far we have nothing planned other than the usual grazing and roaming, Tonight we're doing dinner a French bistro my friend Sacha recommended. In fact, with her recommendations we could just eat our way through DC and not do anything else. But I'm hoping to see a few new monuments and learn some history that I never knew. Not to mention, I have to soak in this glorious weather!!!

Hope you and yours have a lovely, lovely one. xo

Just a Squeeze of Spring

For whatever reason, I'm super crazy about citrus-smelling stuffs this Spring. Straight-up obsessed. So I thought I'd share my new loves: My mom gave me this perfume crayon. Allie got me addicted me to this hand cream and the body lotion. This Carrot Citrus juice es muy expensive, but a slice of heaven... I'm telling ya. I woke up this morning craving it.  Enjoy the citrus and the sunshine. xo

Happy Earth Day!!

When I graduated from college, my friend Leah and I traveled to Europe. While we were in London, we saw this exhibit, which to this day stills moves me. The images then (above) were large scale. I remember feeling dwarfed by not just the size but the feeling of humility in realizing my place in earth. Just one tiny facet. I still feel that way, and I think that is one part of why I love traveling so much. But now, I think more than ever, I have a greater appreciation for what the earth gives to us. Consistently. And graciously.

So, I'm about to let my inner hippie all out. And I hope at the end of this soapbox sesh, you'll let out a "Preach!" like a Tyler Perry character would and not roll your eyes. It's just that I know we can do more. In simple ways. I worked on some advertising for the Times for the documentary Trashed. Check it out here. It's amazing. I realized though I may only be one tiny facet on this earth, I can generate some sort of trash in one short week. (I observed it).

I hope this Earth day that I can keep a pledge to maintain a closer eye on my choices, the products, the packaging, the food I buy. To look at ways to reduce the amount of waste I consume. Ask questions on the biodegradability. Because really Earth does so much for us, we should a little in return.

Word to yo' Mother... (Earth).

Photo Dump: Alyssa's Bachelorette Weekend!

This weekend we headed out to the ballgame and on the road for a little wine tour on the North Fork of Long Island for Alyssa's bachelorette party. It was, even after some chilly rainy weather and a few bumps in the road, a lovely, lovely weekend and so, so fun. Alyssa had friends from college, Richmond, and NY... and it was such a great group of ladies. A couple of pics to enjoy! xo
